Defining Happiness
Happiness is typically associated with a sense of well-being and satisfaction that is the outcome of what is happening around you.? This emotion is usually temporary and dependent on factors outside of you resulting in creating a codependency on our experiences and situations. ?Happiness is a valuable and pleasant feeling with a drawback of that it can be fleeting.? This emotion is variable because it is often influenced by the highs and lows of daily life which means that it can come and go like walking in and out of a door. ?
Defining Joy
Joy is a deep enduring state of being. ?It produces a profound sense of contentment and inner peace that is within. Unlike happiness, joy is not dependent on external circumstances and is instead related to our internal state of mind. It is a feeling that can persist even in the face of adversity.
Joy is often associated with having purpose, connection, and fulfillment. The source is gratification for life and being connected to your source.? The source for me is God. ?He keeps me grounded to face and tackle the challenges of life being resilient and determined.
