Two Dreams for the Price of One

When we moved the farm in 2013, we had one big goal; to save the historic barns for future generations. Our agricultural history means a lot to us.
Over the course of five years, we interviewed many builders who either said we should tear the buildings down or gave us outrageous quotes that we could not afford.
We nearly gave up on our passion project- until we met a young couple in their mid-twenties who started a construction company out of a hatch-back car five years prior.
Daniela and Eli of EC Builders and their devoted team including our fave carpenter and side-kick, Noah, put an unexpected level of love and care into the restoration of the barn.
We were beyond thrilled with the process and the finished product.
So much...
...we invited Daniela and Eli to be married in the barn and bring not just one, but two love stories full circle and add just another dash of romantic history to this timber-frame cathedral.
The icing on the cake was that Eli and Dani, like so many folks over the years, have used the barns as a meeting place on Rice Lake; "Meet me at the barn."
We hope in another 170 years, this glorious building will still grace the lands of our community and make many more dreams come true, even if it's only to inspire.
We are delighted to see young people setting and achieving their goals, and EC Builders has grown to be a highly respected, Tarion Certified, custom home builder.
Keep crushing it, Dani and Eli (and Noah!)
Love,
Leslie & Peter ??
