Cessna 650 Citation VII Crashes off Veracruz; 3 Fatalities

A Cessna 650 Citation VII, registered as XB-VFJ, crashed into the Bay of Campeche shortly after taking off from Veracruz-General Heriberto Jara Corona International Airport (VER), Mexico, on Friday 28 July 2023 at 20:50 local time. The aircraft, on its way to Toluca Airport (TLC/MMTO), began a rapid descent after crossing the coast line and was destroyed; the two crew members and one passenger on board were all fatally injured. FAA Funding Extension Likely as Deadline Nears

WASHINGTON, Aug. 2, 2023 – Senators left Washington last week without advancing a bill to reauthorize the Federal Aviation Administration, leaving just 17 legislative days to pass a measure before the agency’s funding authority expires at the end of September. Plane Crashes Near Lagos Airport; Four Rescued

Authorities have confirmed a plane crash in the Ikeja area of Lagos, Nigeria, near the Lagos Airport.
