Two birds with one stone...
Having dogs now-a-days carries ever increasing responsibility especially when they are known to run... I know this personally, as our two German Sheppards (8 legs) love making a dash for it, straight across the neighbouring fields chasing rabbits for hours on end.
Big dogs that one may assume are quite a challenge but are really otherwise pretty harmless.
