THE TWO BEST KNIVES IN MY KNIFE DRAWER

Is the execution of your brand killing you?
About 20 something years ago, we offered a young man an opportunity to practice his sales pitch on us for a new business he started working in. He asked if he could, and we said sure. What's the harm?
By the end of the presentation, we were the proud owners of a Cutco Cutlery knife. It wasn't cheap.
Around the same time, we visited Branson, Missouri and stopped by a small Amish store and bought some steak knives. They were cheap.
We've never sharpened either one of these knives and they are still razor-sharp.
One is from a major corporation and the other from a little store in the Ozarks.
Just like both of these knife companies, you- in 2019-have the same access to the tools and audiences as major corporations.
We have a flat earth, but God didn't do it, the internet did. You now have access to the world from your fingertips at little to no cost. Just like the big companies.
The difference between every other knife company and these two is the execution and excellence with which they use the resources they have available.
Delivering excellence to your audience is all about your mindset. If you have an "it'll do" mindset, you will lose to the person who says, "it can be done with excellence"
All knife companies have access to pretty much the same metal and machinery.
All jean companies have the same access to fabric and sewing machines.
All car companies have access to the same metal, plastic and production lines.
What sets the awesome apart from the average? Execution.
Where are you settling for good enough?
Where is your competitor pushing for excellence?
If your mindset does not change, then you will slip away into the comfort zone. Where nothing grows, and dreams die.
Move forward with excellence.
