?

1.????Twitter will apply the least amount of censorship allowed by law!

Musk mentioned that he is worried about the effects of social media and thought to make twitter:

  • A maximally trusted place.
  • A sort of digital public square, where people work within countries and internationally to communicate with the least amount of censorship!

Musk's comments echo ones he has made over the past few years. He has labeled himself a “free speech absolutist.”

He also said that the social media companies “should adhere to the laws of other countries and not try to put a thumb on the scale beyond the laws of countries."

?2.????AI has great promise but with that comes danger!

  • The government regulatory authorities tend to be set up in reaction that something bad that happened.

?

  • Think of any technology which is potentially a risk to people like if it is an aircraft or medicine as there are regulatory bodies that oversee the public safety of planes and medicines.

?

3.????What is ‘community notes’ that Musk disclosed about Twitter?

  • The aim of the community notes is to access the truth of information on the social media platform.

?

  • His focus was on having as many companies and people who are legitimate as possible to ensure Twitter is a platform of trust and credibility.

?

  • He said Twitter was good for allowing people “to speak in their voice” as opposed to how they should.

?

  • He has also publicly called out and encouraged CEOs and companies and legislators and ministers and so forth to speak (on Twitter) authentically.

?

  • While this might invite criticism, he acknowledges that “I am constantly attacked on Twitter and frankly I don’t mind.”

4.????Hire a new CEO to take over Twitter!

  • Investors in Musk’s other company, Tesla, are concerned that he may be distracted by the events at Twitter at a time when the automaker is facing demand challenges and increasing competition.

?

5.????Elon Musk says 'single world government' could lead to end of civilization at World Government Summit

?

  • He mentioned that too much cooperation between governments creates a civilizational risk.

?

  • Musk referenced the?fall of Rome, which took place in the 5th century, as an example of civilizational collapse.?

?

  • He pointed to the simultaneous advancements in the arts and sciences among?Islamic societies?as an example of the benefits of separated civilizations that are capable of survival without the other.

?

  • Musk explained, "While Rome was falling, Islam was rising, so you had a caliphate doing well while Rome was doing terribly. And that ended up being a source of preservation of knowledge and many scientific advancements."

?

  • We just want to have an amount of civilizational diversity such as if something goes on wrong with some part of civilization, the whole thing doesn’t collapse

  • "So I think we need to be a little conscious of being too much of a single civilization because if we are too much of a single civilization, then the whole thing may collapse," he continued.

?

  • In short, Musk said, if the world is too interlinked then a single catastrophic event could have global consequences.?
