Twin Transformation - What's in a name?

Dear readers,

I know in my last article to said, it would be the last one for this year, but based on my observation and discussions in the last couple of weeks, I felt compelled to provide my point of view on a new buzzword, called "Twin Transformation".

In a nutshell it is about the transformation of an organization from a digital AND sustainability perspective at the same time.

IMHO a transformation is driven by the business with the promise (or hope) to generate business value and have a ROI. I can't imagine a (business) transformation towards a more sustainable future without the use of digital technologies. Can you?

If a new buzz word help to get investments into sustainability solutions to address business challenges and opportunities, great - but otherwise it seems to be more a means for suppliers of digital solution to get into conversation with customers, as digital transformation has maybe become an overused word.

So my takeaway is that "twin transformation" from a content perspective is not new and has also part of the Sustainable Supply Chain Framework and this community from the beginning, so as a reader you can say: "I am into the twin transformation" area already for some time :)
