Twiceme enters -24 with big plans
As we round up 2023 and look forward to 2024, there are multiple key things to summarize, and also to look forward to. In this newsletter edition we try to cover some of the things that happened in December, and touch on important things to come. You can find a short summary below with added information below.
New website launched to align with our improved product
As we launched 10 new features in 2023, we had to incorporate all of this into a website overhaul, to ensure we align with the end users and brands we work with. Our mission is to turn Bystanders into Helpers, and now it’s easier to understand how we do just that. Have a look at our new website to learn more about what Twiceme can offer for your brand and customers.
Twiceme grows faster than ever
As we move into 2024 and sum up 2023, we’re pleased to announce that the number of Helpers in our community has grown substantially.
Some quick statistics on where we stand is as follows.
The annual growth in Twiceme Helpers joining the community has risen to 133% year over year, more than doubling each year, up from 111% the year before. This comes without surprise, however, as more products with Twiceme hit the market in 2023 than ever? before. Our partners launched 28 new models on the market, with more than 34 new models planned for coming seasons. Expect these to be revealed to the public, and with new partners, in 2024 and onward.
Interestingly enough, even though the bike segment has had a rough year, with sales slowing down drastically, the number of bike users keeps increasing fast. This is a sign of lagging effects in sales and when people join our community. We’ve also seen a significant seasonality effect, with ski users growing fast in numbers during the winter months and the same on the bike side.?
However, seeing the construction segment growing at a 139% annual rate is something that took us with a little surprise, and something we cherish. Thanks to our awesome partners, such as Studson, Zero, Guardio, Guardian and more, the number of construction workers using Twiceme is growing faster than ever, and faster than other segments. The construction industry is changing, that’s clear. And it has been amplified in 2024, with contractors moving towards really investing in the best helmets they can find.?
This is further boosted by the fact that 450+ contractors have signed up in Twiceme in the last 90 days, particularly in the USA, with a high overall usage rate amongst their workers. As a site is a natural community, just as a ski resort, it’s relatively easy to spread awareness in these communities around how their equipment contains added safety technology.?
In terms of growth in new Twiceme products on the market, we currently stand at 255% annual growth, and combined with a 168% annual growth in media mentions of Twiceme, awareness keeps increasing. This will further grow with sponsorships of events like the SoCal race league in California and the rescue collaboration with NSP. Read more about these further down.
Together with our partners, we’re noticing a significant difference in the interest in our technology and how it can help workers and riders stay safe while building our world, or venturing out on adventures. Whether on the slopes, trails, or roads.
App updates lead to 50% uptick in User engagement
In December, we did a significant app release to increase the user experience for our Helpers. More updates will come, with new UX changes and features aiming to make people safer, in the coming months.
One of the main changes we made in December was to release user categories, allowing users to customize their experience in the Twiceme app, depending on their equipment and use case. Industrial workers, rescuers, and sport enthusiasts can now choose how they want to experience the app, with customized optimal features for that specific mode.
Our core has always been to keep Twiceme easy and simple. When you buy a product with our technology, it should not be a hassle to get started.?
Therefore, besides adding user categories, we also improved our onboarding process, added new product search algorithms (yes, it had gotten a bit difficult to find a product amongst our ~65+ launched models), updated the equipment page with more relevant information on the product, added notifications for alerts, and more.
Have a look below for some inspiration.
Sponsoring the SoCal MTB league in the USA
The young bike generation in the USA are the future. We must not only make them safer, but since they’re pushing the limits for what they and their equipment can do, it’s crucial to have a second line of defense - for example, through Twiceme. The SoCal High School Cycling League, a 501(c)(3) organization, is dedicated to youth development and competition through cycling. With over 1000 avid riders and 70 teams scattered throughout Southern California, it stands as one of the most popular bike events in the state. And?

Twiceme will be present at all six race events, actively promoting awareness of how our technology can enhance safety. Through their affiliation with NICA (National Interscholastic Cycling Association) there is an opportunity to broaden this to a nationwide campaign.?
Not only are these youngsters tech savvy, they are also eager to be on the forefront of technology. A perfect fit for Twiceme, as we aim for young people to early on start cultivating a mindset of safety and a user behavior around safety practices.
You can find us there throughout the spring on weekends at our booth, if you’re at any of the events - feel free to swing by to talk safety.
Partnering up with National Ski Patrol (NSP) in the USA for training rescuers
The National Ski Patrol, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit membership association, is the leading authority of on-mountain safety. NSP is dedicated to serving the outdoor recreation industry by providing education and accreditation to emergency care and safety service providers. Ski patrollers at the biggest resorts all around the US go through training through NSP. And now, Twiceme is part of that community.
With a primary focus on education and training, the organization includes more than 30,000 members serving 650 patrols in the U.S., Canada, Europe and Asia. Their members work on behalf of local ski/snowboard areas and bike parks to improve the overall experience for outdoor recreationalists. Members include ski and bike patrollers, mountain and bike hosts, alumni, associates, and physician partners.
Twiceme is honored to finally partner with NSP to spread broad awareness in the ski patrol community, as mountain sports is one of our most important segments. Not only do we believe this can be a springboard for future development of our community and tech, we also know that this opens doors to more opportunities in the rescue community.
