'Twas the Week Before Christmas: A Cautionary Tale of Cannabis in the Mail

'Twas the week before Christmas, and all through the land, people thinking about shipping cannabis should think once again. This story is a cautionary tale to keep your cannabis out of of the mail.

One soul, misguided, in the spirit of cheer. Thought it wise to send weed, spreading joy far and near. "Across state lines, a little homegrow I'll share, to friends who lack access, for them, I will care."

She packaged the herb, so green and so fine, and sent it away with a wish and a sign. "Perhaps, just perhaps, if I act not suspicious, the package will travel, quite undistinguished."

Days turned to weeks, and the package was lost, an ache in her stomach, her joy turned to frost. Fear gripped her heart, worry sent her to frantic doom scrolling, Would she spend Christmas in jail instead of joint rolling?

She told herself, "It's fine, it's not a big deal." But a knock on the door, a visitor made it real, there on the stoop stood a police officer trying to scare her and get the scoop. He left the house saying to expect a follow-up call, not one she wanted, no not at all.

Weeks turned to silence, a deafening fear. Then a voicemail arrived with a message too clear. "Drug Task Force is calling, about your address, a package with narcotics, we must assess."

The fear grew wild, like a weed in the night, she sought legal help to make things right. A detective, a call, could she be arrested? "Consider laying low," the lawyer suggested.

Days of worrying, imagining cuffs on her wrists, would she be spending Christmas in a cell for shipping a green gift? Finally, the lawyer intervened, a voice of resolve, negotiating a deal, a problem to solve.

A stern warning came, a lesson hard-learned, "Never again," she swore, as the her breathing returned. Grateful for friends, wise counsel, and grace, she shared this tale as a caution, in every workspace.

So, this Christmas, heed the moral with care, don't ship the green herb, don't you dare. It's not safe in UPS or Fedex or by US Mail, no one wants to spend Christmas in jail.

USPS flat rate shipping in well sealed bags for less than 2 oz, pay cash in person. Use FEDEX for weight. Shipping is a form of protest against Police State Cannabis and should be considered protected activity for activists.
