The NFL Draft kicks off tomorrow night. A once very small and unpublicized event that has now become every NFL owner's early Christmas wish list. In addition, currently, a signal to the average football fan that the '23 season is underway.

As a Fan Base Creator who follows the Dallas Cowboys, it's important to me to stay abreast of how our football team moves and operates. In addition, creating content around them 365 days a year. Today feels like Christmas Eve however.

That said, the Cowboys have 7 picks on their own Christmas wish list, one in each of the 7 rounds actually. Most recently the Cowboys have had one of their most productive free-agency periods since many fans can remember.

While studying how our front office operates I look forward to watching the events unfold organically as the Cowboys are set to pick 26th of the first round. I have no doubt that the "Draft Whisperer" Will McClay, VP of Player Personnel will come through like he always does.

Just days ago Jerry Jones publicly admitted that their problem is not drafting, but rather coaching. Ouch! Both Mike McCarthy and Stephen Jones were present as the Cowboys owner jokingly made those remarks with the media.

I'm truly excited that some fresh new NFL content will be rolling in tomorrow night. I feel like a kid again on Christmas Eve. Despite how the Cowboys go about their draft tomorrow night, as Jerry Jones so eloquently stated, "Drafting is not our problem. Coaching is."

Will the Cowboys hold at 26 or will they shake and bake and move up to go for a player they really want? Only time will tell. Many of the fans in my established network are traveling today out to KC for this annual major event.

Along with the NFL official schedule release many "Boots On Ground" fans will be charting their future endeavors behind their favorite teams like the Cowboys. Since departing The Combine last month the NFL Super Bowl train makes a stop in KC before heading back out west again.
