Twas the Month Before Christmas...

Twas the month before Christmas
    And North Pole IT
Was having some issues
    With their all SSD

They had two arrays
    And the output was troubling
To keep up with mixed workloads
    Each one was struggling

The first one was Orange
    And sold as "built for flash"
But it's 2 node limited architecture
    Was straight out of the past

It had a snazzy demo
    But it was only one app
And now running in their environment
    The performance is cr…

The second was billed as "extreme"
    With speeds that should blur
But online hardware upgrades
    Would simply never occur

They claimed it had features
    Their sales force defiant!
But to get to those features
    You must add an appliance

Santa called on his elves
    To vent his frustration
He needed an Enterprise array
    That could handle Replication

He wanted more from his array
    This much was true
Performance, Resiliency, & Enterprise software
    The arrays he had cannot do

“We need an array that solves all issues,
     Not just data reduction.
We need to replicate & federate
    and keep up with production.”

    And App Integration real fast
T10 End-to-End data protection
    Security and NAS”

Santa lowered his head
     As he let out a sigh
"Does anyone have an idea?
    I'm ready to cry!"

And out from the back
    Came an elf with a smile
Listening to Santa
    All the facts he compiled

"Santa", he said
    As he removed his hat
"There's really only one array
    That can do all of that."

With a gleam in his eye
    His words filled with glee

Santa was excited
    and belted a loud "Ho Ho Ho"
"Call HPE
    and let's get ready to go!"

Soon North Pole IT was thriving
    In so many new ways
Rid of all the X's
    And orange arrays

And Santa was finally happy
    Satisfied they got it right
