TW Solar Signs MOU with the Uzbekistan Ministry of Energy

On 4 March, at the joint invitation of the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan and ACWA Power, TW Solar attended the opening ceremony of a 400MW PV?plant?in Tashkent Oblast, Uzbekistan. Later on 8 March, TW Solar and the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan signed a Memorandum of Understanding, establishing a 2-year long cooperation between 2 parties. This cooperation is made possible by the trust and confidence demonstrated by both groups.

This collaboration was already sprouted when the Chairman of ACWA Power & Vision Industries, Mr. Mohammad A. Abunayyan, and the executive team visited TW Solar in February 2023. TW Solar and ACWA had cordial and in-depth communication on topics including cooperation on module procurement and future technology routes. They both expressed the willingness to explore the possibility of collaboration on a broader range of areas to help promote the transformation of the global energy structure and seek green and low-carbon development together.

Uzbekistan has invested significant efforts in developing renewable energy in recent years. It has continued to improve policies related to promoting the development of renewable energy and promoting the installation of renewable energy in the country. As one of the most competitive PV companies, TW Solar signed the MOU to leverage its industrial chain and high-efficiency modules to provide impetus to upgrading the renewable energy industry structure in Uzbekistan.

In the future, TW Solar will actively participate in rooftop PV projects in Uzbekistan and explore the possibility of further cooperation in the industry. In the meantime, TW Solar plans to establish a comprehensive module distribution network covering Central Asia, taking Uzbekistan as the hub. The signing is a recognition from the global market of TW Solar's strength in the PV industry.
