TV[R]EV Releases Groundbreaking Report On Addressable TV Advertising
If there’s one thing TV[R]EV co-founder and lead analyst Alan Wolk learned while researching the analyst firm's new Special Report on Addressable TV Advertising, it’s that everyone is confused. “People we spoke with at all levels kept telling us that the topic was just so complex and unwieldy. So we realized that our goal should be to cut it all down to size and present our findings in a way that helped people make sense of it all.”
The result is a comprehensive 49 page report, written by Wolk and Mike Shields, with an assist from Tom Morgan. Despite its length, the report is written in the friendly, occasionally funny, conversational style TV[R]EV is known for, because, as Wolk notes, “We don’t think people deserve to be bored just because they’re reading about business.”
The report covers all aspects of the addressable business, from how to buy and sell and measure addressable TV advertising to more philosophical questions like why brands might run addressable ads and what they can hope to achieve by targeting specific audience segments.
Also included is a look at what the future may bring, with predictions and recommendations as to which developments to keep a closer eye on. One-on-one interviews with sponsors like SpotX, Project OAR, Nielsen, Inscape and Cadent help round out the report.
“The idea,” Wolk says, “is to give people a document that goes from primer to deep dive so that they walk away with a full understanding of how the entire addressable TV ecosystem works, everything from CTV to linear, and most important, how, why and when they should take advantage of it.”

4 年@adamwolk - some spot on predictions I'd venture to say. I'd add to #3 Recommendation Engines / Startups - that we will see third party app(s) designed to curate, personalize and provide single-sign on with a universal guide for the Flixes, FASTS. TV makers (Vizio, Hisense, Samsung, Sony, LG) are poised to break out here by incorporating all of these services (and bespoke licensed content and/or originals) including free over the air. This will be a huge leap forward for the streaming experience, making it easy to access, browse and watch...with a linear build based on your most watched content. ?
this is good ....thanks
