TVREV Originals: AWNY and NAB Edition
It’s Advertising Week and NAB in New York this week—which means lots of corporate peacocking, drinking, and close proximity talking. There will be plenty of buzzwords and common tropes and yarns spun by awkward folks.
On the upside, there will be old friends to hug, new connections to be made and plenty of ideas and organizations that are really, truly onto something. If you listen, you can hear those signals in a sea of noise.
It may be as obvious as watching TV makers explain how the next-gen operating system actually can help you find and engage audiences; or as important as measurement companies finding new ways to bring verified truth to an ad market littered with guesses and lies. There will be new batches of AI-fueled applications that can automate workflows, save money and generate new insights; and interactive platforms that can reshape commerce, new systems for cleaning up data quality, and so on. And that’s just thinking about some TVREV TLC members.
As you gear up to conquer your Q4 goals and prepare yourself not to buy into the bullshit: this week’s Wolk in Review on CTV is a must read, not just because he says a lot of the quiet part out loud but offers some food for thought about what you can do about it.
