Recently a client was offered a ridiculous amount of tv spots for their business and was delighted because a football game was tossed in.

Unfortunately, they didn't realize the game was being simulcast and the majority of their spots were between 2:00 and 4:00 A.M. They also didn't understand a large chunk of spots were broadcast on their sister station.

Understandably, they felt hoodwinked and their high volume of ads were essentially non-effective.
