Tutorial: Part I The AI Audio Producer

In order to make fully-automatic music production tools we need a way to auto- matically work out what our music production objectives are, or in other words, we need an AI audio producer! This tutorial gives an overview of the various tools and building blocks we need to do this, with a focus on machine learning: both classifi- cation and regression. I will provide an overview of machine learning techniques, as well some concrete examples to get you on your way. By the end, if we combine this tutorial with the one on control algorithms, we should be well on the way to building our first fully-automatic music production system.
