There’s a 30% chance that Brexit will be called off, European council president Donald Tusk has told Polish newspaper Gazeta Wyborcza. The EU’s most senior official says he believes that if Britain were to vote again today, the result would differ to that of the 2016 referendum because the consequences of Brexit were not properly discussed until afterwards. Originally scheduled for March 29, the UK’s exit was pushed back to October 31 in April after the UK was unable to agree on a withdrawal deal. ? Here’s what people are saying.

After Spain introduced paternity leave, men wanted fewer children. That’s according to a new study by economists at the University of Barcelona and University of Pompeu Fabra, which found that men remained more engaged with childcare after their return to work, but were less likely to have more kids. The researchers suggest that spending extra time with their children made fathers more aware of the efforts and costs associated with raising kids. Spain introduced two weeks of paternity leave in 2007, recently expanding that to eight weeks. ? Here’s what people are saying.

ThyssenKrupp will seek new steel partners after scrapping its planned merger with India’s Tata. The German steel giant cites “continuing concerns” from the European Commission for its change in plans, and says it will axe 6,000 jobs — including 4,000 in German — as part of a structural shake-up that will see it list its elevator business. ThyssenKrupp’s shares soared 27% after news of the abandoned merger broke, despite the company announcing it no longer expects to make a profit in 2019. ? Here’s what people are saying.

In 1982, 26% of all global concert ticket revenue went to the top 1% of performers. Today, it’s 60%, according to research from the late Princeton economist Alan Krueger. “The middle has dropped out of music, as more consumers gravitate to a smaller number of superstars,” Krueger writes in his book “Rockonomics”. This hollowing out of the middle is happening as performers increasingly rely on concerts to make a living, as streaming technology devalues recorded music. Performers today make about three-quarters of their income from concert tours, compared with around 30% as late as the 1990s. ? Here’s what people are saying.

A desire for social approval can drive leaders to make poor decisions, says a study in the Journal of Personality in Social Psychology. Prestige-oriented bosses who make decisions around their team’s preferences often make choices that hinder the group’s success, it finds. The study also concludes that a more transparent office culture can exacerbate this tendency for poor decision-making among leaders who are prone to pander. ? Should bosses court their team's admiration? ? Here’s what people are saying.

Idea of the day: Adopting a growth mindset is key to choosing your own destiny — both in professional and personal terms, says Goldman Sachs’ Head of Human Capital Management, Dane Holmes.

“I’ve had times when I was deep in the weeds and couldn’t get my head above water, but I’ve always been more successful when I focused my energies on how I could get something done, rather than how impossible the task was.”

I'm from Poland. I felt what does it mean to live in a country where Tusk has something to say. He is a vermin by all means. Tusk, don't ever get back here from your beloved mutti Angela. Just leave this planet.
