Turns Out, Having an English Speaking Partner Makes Me More Confident!
Growing up in Bekasi, Indonesia and currently a new student at university, that's me, Hansel! I feel so happy this year to be able to go to college and open a new chapter for a higher level of education! I feel even happier because so far I have always been surrounded by friends who are always supportive. Likewise with my family, they are also very supportive of the decisions I make and the things I do in my life.
As a new student, of course I always set goals to be achieved within a certain period of time. For now, I really want to be fluent in English, because learning English will certainly help my learning process on campus later and by being able to speak English I can access my learning resources to support my studies. In addition, being fluent in English is also one of my assets to be able to do an internship and work in a good company after graduating later. So, I decided to learn English, because I also wasn't confident enough to speak English directly. In addition, because in my environment most of them speak Indonesian, I need friends as partner, so that I can communicate with many people using English.
I tried to find a platform to support learning English on YouTube and found the fondi application. I tried to install and play fondi, it turned out to be suitable! As an introvert, I am very comfortable learning on fondi, with the avatar and voice chat features, I can talk to anyone and talk about any topic without having to show my face, so I am free to explore.
I usually spend up to 3 hours on fondi! I usually talk to anyone from various countries. On fondi I often visit Plaza and Home Country. Because I meet many people on fondi, I become more accustomed to practicing my English speaking skills.
After using fondi, I feel that my English skills are increasing! Because of fondi, I can speak English fluently! I used to stutter, now I am really fluent! This is because I have a partner to practice my English speaking skills. Imagine, before I had a hard time finding a suitable partner, when I used fondi, it became really easy to find a partner to practice English! I can meet many partners every day, so I feel more confident! Surprisingly, the people around me support my learning progress because the changes in my abilities are visible! I am more enthusiastic and ready to achieve my goals throughout my college years!
I recommend fondi for those of you who are not yet confident in speaking English! Because if you use fondi, you will meet a suitable English practice partner so that your confidence will increase!
