Turns Out, Having an English Practice Partner Can Eliminate Inferiority!
I grew up in Maluku, Indonesia and currently I work as a marketer in one of the largest paint companies in Indonesia! That's me, Oliv! I have friends and colleagues who always help each other and work together, so that we are compact and solid. Likewise with my family, you could say that I am progressing and growing up in a supportive family. They always support all the decisions I choose and take. They also always support the things I do in my life. They even often give me advice, suggestions, and input.
Throughout my life, I have had a dream to be able to study abroad. If you watch videos on YouTube, it seems like studying abroad is fun and exciting. Even though it's just a plan, I want to try to make it happen. That's why I try to improve my English speaking skills. In the progress, I find it difficult to find an English practice partner. In addition, I also still feel inferior about the abilities I have, moreover, I am an introvert, I feel embarrassed to speak directly to other people.
I tried to find an application to support learning English, and found fondi. I tried to install fondi and it turned out to be a good fit! An introvert like me really feels comfortable learning English on fondi. The avatar and voice chat features make me free to express myself! I can talk to anyone from various countries! I can even talk about any topic with them!
It's so fun and comfortable, I even spend up to 8 hours on fondi! I often visit Plaza, Home Country, and Lounge. There I talk most often with Carlos and Anang. It seems that on fondi I can also get a lot of friends and partners to practice speaking English! I even joined a career path program to gain experience, especially since interacting with other people is something I'm currently improving.
After using fondi, I feel like I'm starting to have the courage to speak English with people, and my grammar is getting better! Just imagine, before I knew fondi, I never spoke to people, I was always afraid and insecure because my English skills were not good enough, and I also had difficulty finding partners to practice speaking English. After using fondi, I got new friends and were on the same frequency, we always practiced speaking English continuously, I even met foreigners who made me more enthusiastic and excited to learn. As a result, I am no longer inferior to those who are fluent in English, instead I am more enthusiastic to see them fluent in English and motivated to be able to do it too. Because my English skills have improved, my family and friends noticed and even admitted that I looked more confident in speaking English. With the skills I have, I am confident and ready to take TOEFL and IELTS to study abroad in the future!
I recommend fondi for those of you who are still insecure about your English skills! At fondi you will meet people who are really good and really cool, communicating with them will not make you feel inferior, instead it will make you more motivated and excited to be fluent in English!
