Unveiling the R3Lab Toolkit
After extensive research and collaboration with regulators in eight Sub-Saharan African countries, we're proud to launch the R3Lab toolkit. This comprehensive resource provides practical guidance on assessing innovation gaps, selecting and implementing effective tools, and tracking progress with clear Key Performance Indicators.
Built on the insights from our Risk, Resilience, and Regulatory (R3Lab) initiative, the toolkit equips regulators with the knowledge and tools needed to cultivate thriving innovation ecosystems. We believe this publication will be instrumental in unlocking the full potential of innovation across the region.

Introducing the ANCA Nature Executive Fellowship

OESAI Annual Conference: Navigating uncertainty and championing sustainable insurance
Our team actively participated in the 46th OESAI annual conference and AGM in Zimbabwe from August 4th to 7th. This year's theme, 'The Business of Insurance in Economic, Digital and Geopolitical Uncertainty,' brought together industry experts to explore the latest trends and best practices.
Elias Omondi , our Principal for Innovation for Resilience, led a thought-provoking discussion on sustainable product innovation. He underscored the crucial role of sustainable insurance in tackling the unprecedented risks we face today.
In addition, we celebrated a major milestone: The Nairobi Declaration on Sustainable Insurance surpassed 200 signatories! This achievement further solidifies the growing commitment to sustainable practices in the insurance sector. We also actively contributed to a roundtable discussion focused on key areas like underwriting agricultural risk, disaster risk insurance, and fostering sustainable innovation.
TASK ESG Event: Unlocking Africa's Green Potential
Our Lead for Carbon Markets, Reshma Shah , delivered a keynote address at The Actuarial Society of Kenya (TASK) ESG event on August 30th. She underscored the pivotal role of ESG integration in unlocking Africa's vast green potential and fostering a sustainable future.
We proudly partnered with TASK to sponsor this event, reaffirming our commitment to supporting the newly established ESG task force. This initiative aims to enhance the financial sector’s capacity to manage ESG risks and promote green finance.
The event highlighted the critical importance of ESG integration in bolstering Africa's competitiveness and paving the way for a more resilient future. By embracing ESG principles, the continent can unlock new opportunities and ensure a sustainable path forward.
