???Turning riders into voters?

Scooter operators Dott, TIER Mobility, and Lime joined forces to encourage their users to register on the electoral lists?by the 3rd of March,?so that the fate of scooters in Paris can be decided on Sunday, 2nd of April.?

The effort of the operators is due to the high abstention rate amongst the youngest age groups (71% among 18-24 year olds and 66% among 25-34 year olds) who represent more than two thirds of the shared scooter users. Getting them to vote would have a massive impact on the vote turnout. Will the rallying of the youths be proven successful? We'll be waiting to find out...

? Safety first for Bolt

In Germany and Portugal, Bolt tests the new?reckless rider score feature?in order to tackle dangerous scooter-riding habits. Key factors are evaluated at the end of each ride, such as: tandem riding detection, frequent abrupt braking and skidding, collisions and illegal parking.?

The user’s riding behaviour is also evaluated after every five rides, and if they are in the top 2% of reckless riders in the city, the operator will promote safer riding habits through a three-step process, with repercussions to follow if their behaviour does not reach the safety quota. Maybe this will finally turn the tide for the would-be users who worry about the safety of scooters.
