Turning out big for Nigeria at BIG 2023

Last week was one of the most eventful and productive week this year.

Our team at Friends Of Nigeria Europe successfully hosted the 6th edition of Spotlight Nigeria Business Forum - the foremost annual event in Europe that promotes investment in Nigeria to European Stakeholders on October 2, 2023.

We also successfully hosted the maiden edition of the Nigerians in Diaspora Awards (NIDA) - a platform curated to showcase and celebrate high achievers from within the diaspora. The event was attended by various diaspora members from across Europe, Africa North America.

The highlight for me was the participation of Nigerian companies at BIG - the largest business and entrepreneurship event in Europe on October 5, 2023.

I led a delegation of selected Nigerian companies on various B2B engagements all week long and to BIG which held at the Accor Arena in Paris. Some of these companies were drawn from sectors such as Agriculture, Edutech, Creative Industry and Fintech. The underlying objective of these engagements was to connect French investors/ institutions with credible Nigerian companies for partnerships; while also positioning Nigerian companies interested in scaling into Europe to use France as gateway.
