?? Turning Failures into Triumph: My Journey to the Best 3Yr Law School in the Country ??

The day I had eagerly awaited for so long has finally arrived.

I'm thrilled to announce that I have secured admission to the Campus Law Centre, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi, achieving an outstanding score of 270/400 in the CUET PG. Campus Law Centre - The cradle of legal excellence, boasting a formidable alumni base that includes luminaries like the Hon'ble Chief Justice of India and several distinguished Supreme Court Judges

But this accomplishment wasn't without its challenges and emotional moments.

In my academic and career journey, I encountered numerous highs and lows. During my 12th grade, I made a resolute decision to pursue one of two career paths that resonated with me: either clearing the National Defence Academy (NDA) Exam or pursuing a law degree from a top-tier institution, come what may.

?? Overcoming Setbacks: I devoted my best efforts to the NDA exams, clearing the written portion twice and even making it to the SSB interviews. While I performed admirably in the initial screening tests, I unfortunately fell short during the conference stage on both occasions. Age restrictions prevented me from making further attempts, leaving me with my second choice: law. I commenced my dedicated preparation in January 2022 during my final year of studies.

The annual law entrance exam, which usually took place in July, experienced a significant delay that extended my anxiety and hard work.

??? Facing Health Challenges: Just two days before the exam, I fell seriously ill, and I questioned whether I would even be able to sit for the law entrance. My health was too frail for a comprehensive review of the 10-month preparation. Nonetheless, I mustered the strength to participate, although in delicate health, and managed to give it my all.

To my surprise, when the scorecard was released, I achieved a remarkable score of 250/400.

?? Exceeding Expectations: This achievement felt "remarkable" because the previous year's cutoff for the General category stood at 232. Historically, cutoff variations had never exceeded 10 marks. I felt confident that I would secure admission with such a safe and high score.

However, destiny had different plans.

?? Navigating Uncertainty and Financial Independence: In December, when the University of Delhi published the cutoff list, my hopes were dashed. The cutoff had skyrocketed to 257, the highest in the history of this entrance exam and an unprecedented leap. The cutoff eventually settled at 254, and I missed it by a mere 4 marks, just one multiple-choice question.

This challenging period was marked by uncertainty and questions racing through my mind:

?? Soul-Searching: This contemplation led me to explore the possibility of an MBA, which had always been in the back of my mind. After extensive research, I found myself drawn to the field. The added advantage was my background in mathematics, which made me familiar with many concepts.

?? Financial Independence: However, I had been giving tuitions just after I completed my class 12th to meet my own financial needs. I made a conscious decision not to rely on my parents for financial support once I reached 18. Now, with no concrete plan after my exam setback, I decided to dedicate myself fully to tutoring and earn as much as I could... and I did.

?? AIESEC's Impact: Being a member of AIESEC has played a significant role in my personal and professional life. It has helped me develop crucial skills, from leadership to emotional intelligence, transcending fields from defense to law. AIESEC provided me with real-life experiences that enriched my journey in the most incredible ways.

?? The Journey Continues: This challenging period of financial independence and soul-searching eventually led me to choose law. I began preparing for the 2023 entrance, which featured a completely new format, making me a novice once more.

By sharing my journey, I hope to inspire others to persevere in the face of adversity and embrace their unique paths to success.

I'm eagerly anticipating the journey that lies ahead, and I'm committed to continued growth and learning every single day.

Thank you all for your unwavering support and encouragement. ??
