Turn your Passion into your Profession

Turn your Passion into your Profession

I have recently been intrigued by and began following the story of Melbourne Dad, Ryan McNaught - aka The Brickman.

His "bio" states that he "went from the Boardroom to the toy room" and has been licensed by Danish Company Lego, as Australia's first Certified Lego Professional!

How awesome is that?

Like most "overnight" successes, this transition has occurred over a number of years but what attracted me to The Brickman story was how seamlessly he has turned his passion into his profession.

When you stop and think about it, there are any number of fabulous businesses and careers which evolved in a similar fashion.

Talk to any professional musician.  Chances are that they have loved the instrument they play since they were children.

Ask your local cafe operators - I bet they decided to open their own business after spending years creating yummy food for family and friends.

Similarly, most "pre loved boutique" owners I have met decided to find premises and open a store because of their love of fashion - often beginning by selling their own clothing, footwear and handbags together with that of their friends'.

When you genuinely love what you do, there is nothing fake about you.  Your passion and authenticity shine through and you exude confidence and knowledge.

It is these qualities which make you abundantly attractive to your clients.

Passion is powerful!

Do you have what it takes to turn your passion into your profession?
