Turn your inconveniences to a SUCCESS story.
Are you willing to do the INCONVENIENT to advance your mission or will you constantly wait on the timing and circumstances to be right to get started?___________________________________
It’s time to approach life differently. If life is going to take us the long way round we need to turn it into a road trip; efficiency must take a backseat to enrichment, enjoyment and beautiful multi-colored patterns of complexity. We must learn to use the unlikely threads, colors and materials that life throws at us – they are no setbacks, only opportunities.
When we begin to approach our business and personal life in this manner a lot changes. We built deep foundations and enjoy the satisfaction of a job well done. Peace of mind is an automatic byproduct because we know we have built with permanence in mind and not the convenience of a portable canvas sunshade.
The Cost Of Success = CONSTANT INCONVENIENCE....
When you are attempting to be successful at anything in life you will be inconvenienced by daily activities that you won’t want to do. Remember however that these inconveniencing activities will be prerequisites to your success.
Do you want to have good grades? You will be inconvenienced by staying up late or getting up early to study.
Do you want to have a successful career? You will be inconvenienced by overbearing supervisors, co-workers, and deadlines.
Do you want to be a successful spouse or parent? Yep, you guessed it, you will be inconvenienced by your spouse at some point, and especially by any children you may have.
There will be times you don’t ‘feel’ like doing a lot of things, but they are necessary if you want to stay on the road to success. Your feelings can often lead you away from doing what is necessary. We often have to do the things we don’t feel like doing to get the results ultimately we want to get.
The best piece of advice I can offer to you as it relates to dealing with these inconveniences is to expect them before they come, recognize them when they’ve come, get them done, and move forward into the next one.
If you aspire to be a parent expect that your child will be up at the most inconvenient time during their newborn phase. Then once they’re crying and hungry every 2-3 hours recognize you’re in the battle. You’re going through that tough phase. Then get it done: change them, feed them, rock them, and move forward into the next season of their life. Then deal with the next phase’s challenges and inconveniences.
If you aspire to become a business owner expect that things will be very difficult when you first start to put your plan into motion. Then once you recognize you need more money or your product or service needs tweaking move forward in discovering remedies to your problem.
If you do this eventually you’ll get to a goal or milestone that will lead you to your personal legend.
