When I don’t know what to do I write. Every time it’s the same thing. I become unsettled, I try to figure out the root cause, and then before I know it, I’m baffled beyond belief leading me to sit down and write. Why is that? Because I am a writer. No matter how many times I try to run away from this calling, I always seem to come back to this place given enough passage of time. I am a writer, so write I will!
Turn the Way Back
Turn the way back to a simpler time where civility was commonplace or so it seemed. People cared for one another in a way that now feels like a lost art. Neighbors readily left their doors wide open, sometimes even leaving them unlocked at night without a care because they knew someone was always looking out for them.
A different time where girls longed to be viewed as the prettiest girl in the room and boys tried their best to be known as the toughest boy around. Toughest not because he liked to fight, although he would in an instance protect the honor of his family name or girl, he was fond of. No, toughest in the way that a boy learns and clamors to one day be called “a man’s man” ready and willing to stand up strong as the defender, the protector and provider.
Upside down.
Where have the men gone? Who will defend and protect our honor if there are no longer any “man’s men”?
Why are girls now clamoring to be seen as a boy or someone androgynous? How did feminism become synonymous for “women & man haters” that strongly object to any woman desiring to be cared for by a man?
At what point did it become wrong to want to be taken care of not because a woman could not take care of herself, but because her innate desire was to be cared for by a loving companion who just so happened to also be a great defender, protector, and provider?
Turning the way back sounds hokey to some, especially with the supposed modern conveniences available everywhere one looks, but at what cost?
Instead of instilling the 10 Commandments as our virtues, we turned a blind eye while those with hidden agendas subtlety pushed ideas that on the surface sounded like more freedom. Instead of starting the day with The Lord’s Prayer, many now start it praying to a green god based on nothing more than empty dreams and thin air.
Families once strong now struggle to remain intact. Fathers barely present because of the demands from green god to work, work, work, work leaving little, if anything for them to give to their loved ones at the end of the day. Mothers worn from having to fill in the gaps of the missing fathers while also juggling multiple roles day in and day out.
What was once a partnership built on trust, unity, and love over time for some, has turned into a partnership of convenience. A marriage in name only desperately trying to hold the semblance of a family structure together that hangs by a thread.
Gone are the days where girls and boys desired to grow up, get married, and someday raise a beautiful family to carry on their legacy.
No.
We have instead reached a point in time where it is all about “Me” and “I want”. With those two perspectives being pushed from nearly every direction, how can we possibly get back to a simpler time where right was right and wrong was wrong? Again, I say, upside down.
This sounds bleak, I know, but the truth, the “real” truth can be painful if you allow yourself to fully process it. But God…
Turn the way back.
So where do we go from here? How do we get back to the right side up? The answer is quite simple. Bring God back into the picture.

*Deep gasp*
I know what I wrote, and I’ll write it again: bring God back into the picture.
Let me stop right here and say the following: if you are reading this, that means somehow by the grace of God this writing managed to pass through the subservient gatekeepers and bots that seek to keep all in sheer darkness and delusion.
Remember the hidden agendas mentioned above? God is nowhere in their agendas as they aim to remove every trace of His ever present being, except they can’t because God is God and there is no other like Him nor will there ever be.
In the beginning, God created earth, the world, man and woman, all things. He gave instructions on how to live fruitfully and multiply where blessings upon blessings were the outcome for living according to His ways (cue the 10 Commandments with the greatest of these being to have no other god before Him – “bye, bye, green god” and to love others as you love yourself – back to the neighborly love and respect).
Turn the way back hearkens to going back to simpler times where God directed our paths at the start of each day by praying The Lord’s Prayer. As the greatest defender, protector, and provider to ever exist, God can do miraculous things no matter the situations or circumstances because of His never-ending love, mercy, and grace for His precious creations.
His desire for us to live in peace and harmony, to have strong thriving families, where neighbors are quick to lend a helping hand without the expectation, they will receive something back in kind. His guidance leads us through the valleys helping us grow stronger through conflict while also developing our compassion and empathy for one another.
Turn the way back is a radio call-out for a fundamental shift away from a dependence on anything or anyone other than God himself. It is the innate desire buried deep within each of us that longs to live in a world where true freedom involves lifting others up together as a united front vs the divisive nature running rampant in today’s culture.
Turn the way back is not about “Me” or “I want” but about “We” and “Us”. We are stronger together – remember the saying that goes something like this, “united we stand, divided we fall”.
We were created in His image so we CAN do this. Turn the way back and watch how quickly we are propelled forward into a land flowing with milk and honey. A land where families thrive and prosper beyond all that we can think or imagine. Where freedom means enjoying more peace, joy, and happiness and love than ever before. Turning the way back to which was here at the beginning and shall be in the very end.
We’ve got this! It’s time.
Bring God back and watch Him turn the way back for us all!

When I don’t know what to do, I write. No matter how many times I try to run away from this calling, I’m always drawn back to it. Now is the time for me to begin sharing these treasures. One by one. He’s bringing it out of me, cultivating the gift to reach more. Thank you!
