As of the August 2017 release of Power BI Desktop you can now format your negatives red. It's taken too long and still isn't super easy, but then again it isn't super easy in Excel either.

Here's how to do it in 2 steps in Power BI
Step 1
Right Click on your value field in my case it's called Data and select Conditional formatting > Font Colour Scales
Step 2
Then set up your window as follows using a Diverging scale -1, 0, 1
Now if only we could add brackets......

5 年This works only on columns and not on measures. Can you please suggest how do we do it for measures

7 年Try formatting your numbers with an underscore close bracket and that will put an invisible bracket on positive numbers and an actual bracket on negative numbers and best of all the numbers all line up

7 年Looks like they still haven't offered the option for static conditional formatting colours, the default gradient colours are pretty but can be confusing to viewers.
