TURN LEFTOVERS INTO MAKEOVERS!

TURN LEFTOVERS INTO MAKEOVERS!

My wife, Sarika, rarely likes to do the same thing twice.

Let’s take food as an example. She is a fantastic cook.

I would never describe myself as a ‘foodie.” Food, for me, is about sustenance. I’ve never had a favorite food. And can barely remember what I had for lunch.

She never eats leftovers.

She creates?Makeovers?(her term).

That is, she makes a new meal out of leftovers. In this case, we had salmon and lentils–which tasted good by themselves.

She turned them into a quiche.

I know-fish and lentil quiche!

It was scrumptious!

A makeover is defined as a complete transformation or remodeling of something.

What if you were to makeover your leftover content and create something entirely new?

For example, take a previous speech, presentation, story, or article, and repurpose, repackage, and reuse it on a different platform or media– (TikTok video.)?

Presto! Makeover!

Unless I mention it, you may not know this post is a makeover.

Where did I get the ingredients, you might ask. I have an electronic folder called “Blog/Article Ideas.” It is a random collection of full and partial thoughts, stories, and ideas.

I took two random ideas (ingredients):

  • How my wife transforms leftovers
  • Content creation

Mixed them like a salad, and voilà, you have this post!?

“I TOOK TWO RANDOM IDEAS AND MIXED THEM LIKE A SALAD!”

?You’re Welcome!

You can turn your leftovers into makeovers.

Experiment!

Challenge Yourself!

Make it fun!

Create something new!

I would love to hear about your content salad. What ingredients did you use for your makeovers??

Thank you for the article Ed. I have used makeovers with speeches. I have found this most successful when I makeover the ideas. In the past I have tried to recycle sections of the speech and included them in a new one by cutting and pasting sections into a new speech. This was was not very effective but recycling stores and ideas in a new presentation that is customised for the audience has worked very well.
