"Turn to Heaven Amid Earthly Chaos To Find Hope in Times of Turmoil"

“I lift up my eyes to You, to You who sit enthroned in heaven.” Psalm 123:1 (AMP)
The world seems increasingly disordered, in chaos, and without hope for restoration. As women, wives, and mothers, we might feel overwhelmed and despondent, witnessing all that is unfolding in the world.
Despite our attempts to manage our lives and surroundings, it's impossible for us to control everything. The sense of control we think we have is mostly an illusion. So, where do we turn? Who is our source of hope?
As Christians, the answer is clear. Jesus. He is our hope, our promise, and our future. The Apostle Paul affirms in 1 Timothy 1:1, "Paul, an apostle (special messenger, personally chosen representative) of Christ Jesus by the commandment of God our Savior, and of Christ Jesus, who is our hope" (AMP).
God calls us to look beyond the chaos of the world: “Lift up your eyes on high and see who has created these heavenly bodies, the One who brings out their host by number, He calls them all by name; because of the greatness of His might and the strength of His power, not one is missing” Isaiah 40:26 (AMP).
When we feel disheartened and hopeless about global events, we are urged to look upward: “I will lift up my eyes to the hills [of Jerusalem]—From where shall my help come?" Psalm 121:1 (AMP).
The truth is, this world is transient. It will not improve or recover; it suffers the consequences of sin, along with all of creation.
Romans 8:19-22 (AMP) states, "For [even the whole] creation [all nature] waits eagerly for the children of God to be revealed. For the creation was subjected to frustration and futility, not willingly [because of some intentional fault on its part], but by the will of Him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will also be freed from its bondage to decay [and gain entrance] into the glorious freedom of the children of God. We know that the whole creation has been moaning together as in the pains of childbirth until now."

As believers, we are aware of God's unfolding plan for the earth and His provision for us in His glorious presence for eternity.
Revelation 21:1 (AMP) reveals, “Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away (vanished), and there is no longer any sea.”
While some seek a “forever home” on earth, 1 John 2:17 (AMP) clarifies, “The world is passing away, and with it its lusts [the shameful pursuits and ungodly longings]; but the one who does the will of God and carries out His purposes lives forever.”
God encourages us to place our trust in Him and His promised future because “Heaven and earth [as now known] will pass away, but My words will not pass away” Matthew 24:35? (AMP).
In John 14:2-3 (AMP), Jesus assures us, “In My Father’s house are many dwelling places. If it were not so, I would have told you, because I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back again and I will take you to Myself, so that where I am you may be also.”
As believers in Jesus Christ, our eternal home is with Him. Isaiah 51:6 (AMP) advises us to “Lift up your eyes to the heavens, look to the earth beneath; for the heavens will be torn to pieces like smoke, and the earth will wear out like a garment and its inhabitants will die in like manner. But My salvation will be forever, and My righteousness (justice) will not be broken.”
Let’s pray; Dear Heavenly Father, Instead of fixating on the world's chaos, help me look to You for guidance, recognizing that my hope lies in You, and eagerly anticipating the promise of an eternal life with You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
