To everything (Turn, turn, turn)
There is a season (Turn, turn, turn)
And a time to every purpose, under heaven

The song, Turn! Turn! Turn!, was written and composed by Pete Seeger and popularized by The Byrds in 1965. The lyrics are taken almost verbatim from the Book of Ecclesiastes (3:1-8) in The Bible.

What we have to realize is that there are going to be GOOD times, and there will be BAD times, a BALANCE in life. Without death, we could not appreciate life. Without sadness, we could not appreciate joy.

But at the same time, life keeps on going and doesn't stop for anyone. Everything is TEMPORARY. We will come to understand that CHANGE is the only constant in life.

We eventually will lose our family, friends, youth, possessions, accomplishments, and ultimately our bodies. The CHALLENGE in life is learning to embrace, accept, and respect this fact.

There is a reason why people, circumstances and opportunities come into your life. It is NOT a coincidence, accident, or luck. It is planned with divine intervention to help us GROW and it is up to us to recognize this.

So, if your having a bad day, a good day, or something in between, just realize that TODAY is the only day you have been promised.

We must learn to be GRATEFUL with whatever we have, good or bad, and make the best use of that.

This way, we allow GRATITUDE to become the magical potion that dissolves jealousy, greed, fear, unhappiness and other dis-ease’s of the EGO. It is the emotion that opens our hearts and raises us above negativity, worry, and doubt.

The song is a gift to demonstrate the beautiful art of turning from darkness to light, sorrow to joy, scarcity to abundance, innocence to wisdom in order to obtain true inner peace and calm so we may be better prepared to respond to life's ups and downs that with certainty will come our way.

So if things are going good, ENJOY it because it won’t last forever. And if things are going bad, don’t worry because it won't last forever either.

The bottom line is that we all are here on this Earth for a PURPOSE and as we discover our true self, we need to take a moment and realize how SPECIAL we are. Each of us has a responsibility to DEVELOP our unique abilities or “Gifts” and to express them fully into the world. Just start by asking yourself what’s really important and then have the COURAGE to build your life around your answer.

Be grateful for today, and the tomorrows you are blessed to receive. Because there is ALWAYS something to be grateful for, no matter what your circumstances, as dark as they can seem at times.
