The Turkey Has Been Devoured...
Well Friday is here, the turkey has been devoured... so what happens now?
The year is coming to an end quickly and 2025 is peeping around the corner to see what we are doing. There are three things we should be doing for sure...
First, we have just over thirty days to finish out the year strong.
Second, we should be finalizing our business plan for 2025.
Last, we should be reviewing what worked in 2024, and what did not, so that we can go into 2025 doubling down on the things that worked the best.
What we do through the end of 2024 has a huge bearing on how we finish out 24, but also lays the groundwork for 2025 and beyond. Prospecting now will fill the pipeline for 25, following up now will close that last couple deals for 24... and planning will ensure we have all we need for next year.
So onto 2025... are you ready for the new year. I want to share three pieces of advice as we look towards our 2025 goals and plans.

Number one would be to turn off the news and social media, and to focus on your business. Every time I look there are agents focused on the NAR settlement and rules, agents who are struggling with adapting instead of prospecting. Client won't sign a buyer's agreement... move on to the next one. Lenders, stop focusing on rates and prospect, build relationships and close deals. Clients want to wait for rates to come down... stay in touch and work with people ready to buy today.
Number two... stop listening to all those who say it can't be done, or how hard it is. The industry has always been hard... it is a job after all. Do the work, do the prospecting, work your SOI, and there is plenty of business to be had. The excuses and negative attitudes will pull you in and hurt your business if you let them, so stay away, hang it with positive people, and close more deals.
Last, be prepared for the unexpected. Deals will fall apart, so don't spend the money till it is in your account. Clients will be disloyal, so don't count on any one client. Keep your pipeline filled and don't put all your eggs in that "one big deal" basket.
2025 is close... let's make it a great year.
