Turbo-Charging Your Creativity

Turbo-Charging Your Creativity

Do you have a satisfying, creative outlet for your talents? You know, a way for you to express your creative energies and enjoy the satisfaction of producing something that nourishes your soul? We’re referring to something more substantial than a hobby or a pastime. Something that sparks your enthusiasm and puts joy in your heart and a smile on your face.

And why is this relevant in an incredibly busy and demanding world where almost everyone feels pressured and under constant stress?

If you’re to create something powerful and important, you must at the very least be driven by an equally powerful inner force.

Why on earth would anyone need to make time and space in an already overcrowded life for yet another activity?

Well, the reason might just surprise you.

Let’s begin by accepting that it’s an important issue, especially when you consider that most people are unhappy at their work. That’s right. Research strongly suggests that most people really don’t enjoy their jobs. People find their work unrewarding, unsatisfying and a drain on the quality of life. It’s mostly seen as an unpleasant necessity that most would rather avoid.

So, whilst it’s helpful to consider alternatives and look for ways to improve the daily work experience, many people can’t just throw in the towel and trust in good luck to find something better. After all, if it was so easy, there would be far fewer people complaining about their jobs! This is one of the reasons for finding a counterpoint to the day’s daily round of tedium!

Social media has colonised what was once a sacred space occupied by emptiness:

the space reserved for thought and creativity.

Finding a suitable outlet for your underlying creativity can lend new depth and meaning to your life. When you think about it, the choices are truly vast. People learn to paint, to sculpt, to create artwork with their hands. Some of the great masters had to hold down a day job whilst they pursued their dreams in the evenings. There are many individuals who’ve found their hidden talent onstage in amateur productions, singing, dancing, performing and enjoying the challenge of producing a show that the paying public can share and enjoy. Learning to play an instrument can be immensely rewarding. For all his celebrated genius, Einstein claimed that he drew his greatest pleasure from playing his violin.

People write. Some for profit. Many for pleasure. The key is to find an activity that resonates within your heart and brings you solace, joy, pleasure and a sense of accomplishment.

?The principal mark of genius is not perfection but originality, the opening of new frontiers.

And the benefits go much further than personal satisfaction. Acquiring new skills in unfamiliar areas stimulates our creativity and helps us to see the world from a fresh perspective. The benefits can spread like ripples in a pond and touch all areas of our life.

So, in one sense, a non-work-related activity can offer the consolation of a satisfying and fulfilling experience that simply might not be available to you at work. If this is the reality you’re currently facing, it’s still a good idea to seek ways to change or improve your working conditions. But it’s also an invitation for you to take better control of your life and find outlets for your needs that restore some degree of balance to your daily routines.

Art, freedom and creativity will change society faster than politics.

Perhaps you have a particular message to share with the world. Perhaps you’d enjoy making videos for You Tube. Perhaps you feel that you’ve got a gift that’s never had a chance to be developed. Well, now’s the time. Today’s the day. Look into your heart and see if you can find the creative spark that’s waiting to ignite your latent talents. Acknowledge your drives and dreams and take an important first step towards bringing them into the world.

At the very least, you’ll find a haven of personal expression that will make each day a little more bearable. You’ll find a wellspring of personal creativity that will help you to discover more imaginative ways of living your life. You’ll feel the deeper tide of your energy that helps you to chart a new pathway for your life. You’ll feel that you possess the power to make choices for yourself in more areas than you’d previously recognised. It’s a powerful step on the road to self-realisation, personal empowerment and a happier and more fulfilling way of living every day of your life.

Go on. Take that step right now. You deserve it!

The world always seems brighter when you’ve just made something that wasn’t there before.
