Tuning into your True Passion

Take a look at your business – at what you do, the impact you make – and ask yourself: what do you want to be known for?
I’ve recently been pondering on this question. I’ve been looking at my two businesses – my five-year-old coaching business, where I help others build and grow their business, and my training business, where I help others become qualified, accredited coaches. I remind myself that moving forward involves dialling down and focusing, but the truth is that I haven’t been putting this into practice. With two separate businesses, I realised that my message wasn’t as consistent as I wanted it to be.
As a result, I started to look at what was scalable within these businesses. I found myself ruling out certain options – my small group mastermind, for example, I enjoyed keeping as 10 people, to ensure that level of intimacy and depth to our conversations. I ruled out online courses and group programs too; this simply wasn’t my true passion. Eventually, I realised that the true reason I was running these businesses in the first place was to help people develop robust coaching skills and become excellent coaches.
Often, these realisations aren’t momentous or epiphanies – somewhere deep down we know they are there, and I did too; I had already started my coaching program after all. However, by tuning into this feeling once again, we remind ourselves how we felt before everything started, we start to re-align everything again, because it’s inevitable that things fall off track.
The more I thought about the coaching program I started last November, the more I felt proud and passionate about what I was doing. I now have a fully accredited program where I take people through a 7-month period with weekly contact to become accredited, and I love that my clients are achieving their purpose because of this. The ripple effect is having well-trained qualified, intelligent, and capable coaches out there in the world who are truly passionate about what they do and are keen to get the results. Suddenly, I grasped upon how I could scale this side of my business. All I had to do was grow the number of participants to have a further impact on a greater number of people. That’s when I decided to start a new membership, which I’m launching at the end of October/early November called The Coaching Hub, specifically for those who aspire to be coaches and want to work on professional, personal, and business development. I don’t just want people to be coaches; I want them to make a genuine impact.
As a result, I have a new podcast name too – new branding, same message, and the same focus on helping you to step into being that best version of yourself. It will be full of coaching conversations, alongside neuroscience, how the brain works and how we can use that with our clients. Also called The Coaching Hub, both the podcast and membership will align with my true purpose. You can listen here https://ruthkudzi.com/podcast/the-coaching-hub-is-born/
I’ve shared this story because I think it’s important for all of us to step into what is going to make the difference for us in our businesses. Ultimately, tuning into your passion is how you scale your business, move forward and get the results, so it’s okay to step back and decide to do things differently – it is only by looking at your greater vision that you can then simplify to amplify.
