The purpose of the tungsten electrodes is to trap the energy produced by an electric shock. In fact, these electrodes may be the most versatile ones used in current electric device. The function of the these electrodes is to capture and hold the energy produced by the shock, which is known as the transmopic current. Thus, the tungsten electrodes are called the transmuted electrodes because they can be used in many other applications apart from the EMS applications.
There are several applications of tungsten electrodes. For instance, the EMS application is a popular one because it is cost effective and easy to implement. The second application is protection against electromagnetic fields. These are used for various applications in the electronic field. They protect the circuits from the harmful emissions and protect the input and output components of the circuits, from the impact of the harmful emissions created by the electronic equipment and appliances. It is also used in welding and soldering.
Tungsten electrodes are also used in the medical field for a variety of applications. One such application is to treat brain tumors. The electrodes are used along with the chemotherapy drugs to treat the brain tumor and the radiation treatment. Further, these electrodes are also used in treating the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) problems and headaches. Another important use of these is for the corrosion protection of various materials, which includes some batteries.
In fact, some of the rechargeable nickel cadmium batteries are made by using these electrodes. In addition, some automotive devices like the ignition system of the cars are also protected by the electrodes. Further, the material can be protected by covering it with the silicon coatings, which help in preventing the corrosion and also maintain the pliability and elasticity of the material. Thus, they are used in a huge number of applications and there is a great demand for them.
Tungsten electrodes are not only important for the industry, but these are also used in many medical appliances. For instance, dental implants are fixed with these electrodes to provide the dental care for the patient. These are used in cardiac pacemakers as well. As mentioned above, the application and the size of the electrodes to determine the type of voltage and current that are provided to the device. Hence, the size of the electrodes is directly related to the current and voltage.
