Dear Tunde,
Today, in 2024, I learned a simpler way to beat procrastination. Turns out, when you give something a clear time, space, resources, and involve people, it becomes harder to push it off.
Let me share a story about my neighbor's kid. This young lad struggled with procrastination until his parents bought his West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) registration. Suddenly, he got serious.
He did something quirky yet effective. Emeka wrote a letter to Procrastination and stuck it on their fridge where everyone could see:
"Hey Procrastination,
Please believe the last time was the last time. I realized I've been living in tomorrow when today's the real deal. My folks paid for my WASSCE, and I'm not wasting time on assignments when I can do them now, just like my exam schedule.
Task done, onto the next. Kindly find attached my daily routine till my exams end.
