A consistent project requests a lot of organisational efforts, professional but beside all personal commitment. The "Dream to Reality" road is never a highway ... it is often such a bumpy ride that you need to readapt the travel plan several times to get to destination ... but in the end, you see a Smile, the Smile, the one of many... and you know, all that worth it!
Our long-term partner Waves For Water (W4W) has an unique philosophy, born out of one simple idea: “Do what you love and help along the way.” It’s about following your heart and plugging purpose into your passion.
They encourage people to look at humanitarianism as a lifestyle, rather than charity. It’s a paradigm shift in the way we currently think– do what you love: sail, surf, bike, hike –then insert purpose along the way.
Not only does this create an incredibly singular and vital experience for the individual, it creates positive lasting impact in the world.
TUMI, inspired by W4W's philosophy invited a group of young and environmentally engaged influencers to Langrug, South Africa.
Located 80km from Cape Town, a third of Langrug has no access to electricity or sanitation. Hand in hand, the TUMI Crew and W4W team with the local support of FLOW association built 3 rain catchment systems, implimented 100 water filters and spent time with the local community to demonstrate how the portable filtration systems work.
