Tumble in the Parking Lot

The lady of the house has a penchant for getting herself into weird situations. Today was one of them. I was on a conference call at noon, when I got one from her. All I could hear was that she had fallen down in the parking lot and an ambulance had been called.

My blood ran cold. I got her location, took out my car and got there was quickly as possible.? I found her inside her own car, knees badly scraped but otherwise ok.

Thank the lord!

So I asked her what happened.?

It had been very windy today. Some receipts flew out of her purse just as she was stepping out of the store. The lady of the house gave chase; missed them entirely and then proceeded to take a tumble on the hard concrete. Painfully, but thankfully she landed hard on her knees.?

To her chagrin, there was a lady cop in the same parking lot writing a complaint for another woman. They observed the tumble. dropped whatever they were doing, and then sprang into action to assist.? The lady cop helped her up, while the other lady called the Ambulance, the fire-brigade ,the National guard and the local news outlet..

They lady of the house protested , shaken more by the sudden appearance of the fuzz and the other emergency services.? They gave her thorough checkup, examining her for possible concussion - asking her the usual questions.

My sincere thanks to the officer and the other citizens for assisting my wife, very kind of them.
