Tully Tuesday's Volume 35

Been a while since I’ve done a random thoughts column, here we go

1. I think I suck at golf now. I’ve never been an excellent golfer. I was below scratch for about a 2 month period at one point last year, and have hovered around a 2 or 3 handicap most of this year. I played 3 times over the last 3 weeks and I have played so bad. On Sunday I would’ve been better off playing blindfolded than how I played. I switched putters, practiced with both and still suck. I go to the range and everything feels completely unnatural and that’s a huge problem.
2. There should be two Monday Night games every week. The Monday game gives teams an extra day to prepare and gives less popular teams the opportunity to play on National TV. I haven’t gotten to watch much of Arizona or the Chargers and after last night now I know they both really suck and can bet accordingly. This is important.
3. Hahaha Michigan is a disaster.

5. I think the new college playoff format has been better for College Football. I love that every game matters more, in past years the teams that aren’t in the Big 5 or 6 top team groups are irrelevant, now there is legitimate intrigue for most games each Saturday.
6. Indiana is a wagon, and the biggest threat to beat Ohio State because their coach isn’t James Franklin.
7. The YouTube TV Multiview is bullshit. You used to be able to do picture in picture on freaking Comcast Cable with that lame ass gray remote, and now we don’t even have that option. We get the preset Multiview. If I want to watch the ManningCast and a jeopardy rerun concurrently I show be able to get on my neuro-divergent hamster wheel and go off.
8. I’ve said this before but the ManningCast is the best show on TV right now.
9. I haven’t had a great sandwich in weeks. It’s bothering me. I went with my colleague to Atha’s in Peabody searching for a COVID era level beef and it was a far cry from that. Heartbreaking. Might go again for lunch today to get a palate cleansing beef at Londi’s in Peabody.
10. I’m giving the Cowboys one last chance to put up a fight against San Francisco before I throw the towel in on them for the year.
11. I don’t hate this Yankees team as much as I should, and I almost want them to win for my cousin who’s had nothing but terrible teams to root for his whole life. I might give them a pass for this world series. Will report back next week. Hope it goes 7.
12. Understand that Bullet 11 allows me to root against the Giants even harder for the rest of my life.
13. The Lions are super good and they’re so good that outside of an injury to Jared Goff I don’t know how they don’t win the Super Bowl.
14. I tried the Big Sour Patch kids this week and I think they are the best candy you can buy.
15. Raising Canes isn’t that good the Chicken is too hot when you get it and kind of stringy. The Sauce, fries, and bread are fantastic though.
16. Our GENEVA System is on an absolute heater. In Week 7, we were 11-3 on Money Lines, and 10-4 on Totals. Week 8’s Prediction Panel will be in the Thursday Blog post.
