TUI Meets Mallorca ??

One day before the official start of the #TUIPalmaMarathonMallorca, we celebrated its return with an evening reception. In the city of Palma, over 130 key partners from politics, the hotel industry, associations, civil society, and sports journalism joined us. ?? ?

Our CEO, Sebastian Ebel , emphasized TUI 's commitment to creating memorable family experiences and fostering connections between island residents and guests.

Distinguished guests included the Minister of Tourism of the Balearic Islands, Jaume Bauzá, representatives of the civil society of Mallorca, former TUI Group CEO Dr. Michael Frenzel and the UN Executive Director for Tourism, Zoritsa Urosevic as well as the owner families of more than ten hotel chains on Mallorca, the initiators of various TUI Care Foundation sustainability projects and many more.

????♀? Sun! Fun! Run! ??????

On the day of the marathon, there was a fantastic atmosphere. A total of 8,487 runners from over 75 nations took part in the race. The focus was on having fun while running, but we were particularly impressed by Aziz Boutoiz from Morocco, who won the marathon by 02:28:23 hours, as our #TUINumberOfTheWeek revealed.

Further, over 500 TUI colleagues signed up to run either the 9k, the 21k or the marathon distance – many brought their family and friends as well. ????????

Thanks to the perfect weather with sunny conditions and the hundreds of volunteers helping along the track, the feedback has been absolutely phenomenal. This is truly a spectacular example of connecting the local population with guests in the name of sports and togetherness.?

Sybille Rei?, Chief People Officer at TUI Group, was given a special honour when she gave the official starting signal for the marathon during a beautiful sunrise. ??

True to our motto "Let’s TUI it" our board was very involved in the event, since CEO Sebastian Ebel took part in the 9k run together with Peter Krueger, CEO Holiday Experiences TUI Group.
