Stockholm – Madrid – Palma: Last week TUI Group CEO Sebastian Ebel visited our impressive and central Stockholm workplace to discuss the latest developments in travel tech, the recent launch of our 'accomodation only' platform in all Nordic markets. After that he went to Madrid to check-in with our colleagues at TUI Iberia in our Madrid office, to learn about the progress we are making in executing our strategic initiatives and to discuss the team’s ideas about TUI. And last but not least he was in Palma to meet our colleagues from Musement . Musement is an important cornerstone of TUIs growth plan. The possibility for our customers to use TUI on a very regular basis – from booking the holiday package once a year to buying activities regularly.?

First TUI flight from Rotterdam to Lapland ??

As of last weekend, the regional airport of Rotterdam is proud to have a direct TUI flight to Kittil?/Lapland. We shared the joy with our guests by giving them a warm beanie hat upon departure from Rotterdam The Hague Airport .

???? Lapland is gaining more fans every year, also in The Netherlands. No wonder with activities like husky sledding, the Northern Lights and skiing. ??

New Condor CEO in 2024

Peter Gerber, currently head of Brussels Airlines, will succeed Ralf Teckentrup as Condor's helmsman on February 1, 2024. Teckentrup, who would actually have liked to retire in the spring, will remain in office until then. Commenting on the appointment, Condor said Gerber will "guide Condor and set the course for growth" together with COO Christian Schmitt and CFO Bj?rn Walther.

Bookings in Germany exceed pre-Corona level

The market research institute Travel Data & Analytics (TDA) has announced that German citizens booked holidays for almost 700 million euros in the first week of January. This includes package holidays as well as trips organised in modules. The booking level in the German market has thus exceeded the pre-Corona level again at the beginning of January.

Outrigger plans big expansion

The Hawaiian hotel chain Outrigger Resorts & Hotels plans to expand to California, Florida, Mexico and Australia. The company has also committed about 250 million US dollar to renovate four of its resorts in its home market of Hawaii. Outrigger currently operates eight hotels in Hawaii, three in Thailand, two in Fiji, one in Mauritius and one in the Maldives.
