Happy Tuesday! :)
Thank you for being part of our TuesDate community.
This is where I send inspiring emails every Tuesday.
The past few weeks, I've been researching a lot about this woman leader.
I've watched hours and hours of her videos.
I am so blown away but what I discovered.
On her birthday, 412,000 Filipinos stood up under the heat of the sun for 5-15 hours to celebrate her special day.
The Philippines' top celebrities and performers volunteered to perform pro bono.
I've never seen anything like that.
I'm talking about the Philippines' most loved presidential candidate Leni Robredo.
As I was reflecting, I came to this conclusion.
If you want to go fast, go slow!
Prior to being elected as a government official, Leni Robredo has been serving the country as a PAO lawyer.
When her husband passed away and people asked her to run for congress, she started holding her sorties in street corners, with only a few people.
But what sets her apart from other politicians is her deep love for the country.
In Filipino,?radikal na pagmamahal?(radical love).
Nothing and no one is too small for her.
Look at these photos and how comfortable she is with people.
Look at the date stamps. Even before she became the Philippines' Vice President, she has been serving the people in the grassroots level.
She’d wake up at 5AM so she can go to remote areas, visit the poorest of the poor, and listen to their concerns.
She'd walk for hours just to reach the poorest of the poor.
She’d finish her day at 12MN or 1AM. Then she wakes up again at 5AM the next day.
She’s diligent and extremely hardworking.
She didn’t take shortcuts.
Traditional Politicians (trapos) buy votes. She didn’t.
Today, thousands of people flock her rallies because of what she brings -- HOPE!
I’ve never seen any leader who unites people from all walks of life the way she does —- artists, professionals, doctors, street vendors, farmers, Christians, Muslims, informal settlers, rich, middle class, poor, celebrities, rival schools (these schools wore pink instead of their usual colors) — to stand up for honest and competent governance.
Traditional politicians (trapos) and their cronies spend millions of money to campaign for themselves.
That's why when they sit in power, massive corruption happens. Those trapos are also puppets to their billionaire cronies.
But for Leni Robredo? Millions of Filipino volunteers spend our own money and resources to campaign for her.
She's clean and honest. Her office got the highest COA audit rating for 3 years in a row.
She's not a puppet to anyone.
She focuses on the Filipino people and on serving them, starting with the people in the grassroots level.
To be honest, this is my proudest moment as a Filipino.
HOPE is powerful.
There is so much HOPE for our country, the Philippines.
This is no longer about politics.
This is about fighting disinformation and misinformation.
This is about fight between good and evil.

If you want to go fast, go slow.
Leni Robredo rose from being a PAO lawyer to a congresswoman to a Vice President.
In a few days, she'll be the 17th President of the Republic of the Philippines.
It may look fast, but it's because she went slow.
If you want to go fast, go slow.
This concept also applies to investing, relationships, business, skills, etc.
Don't take shortcuts. Don't cut corners.
On April 25, we launched the eBook?Kulay Rosas ang Bukas.
It took us 25 days to write, publish, and launch it.
Last week, I announced that we're working on another book,?Mas Radikal Ang Magmahal.
I shared that we have 11 days to write, publish, and launch it.
Will we make it?
We won't make it in 11 days!
We'll make it in 10 days!! Wow!!!!
Amazing what radical love and God's grace can do.
We're launching the book on May 5 (Thu) 7PM - 9PM.
On behalf of the contributing authors, I'd like to personally invite you to our book launch. :)
Going back to our message,?"If you want to go fast, go slow."
Writing and launching a book in 25 days is no joke.
More so, doing the same in 10 days!
For a lot of people, writing a book is a lifetime dream.
You may say, "Sha, 25 days or 10 days to write and launch a book?! That's so fast!"
You're right.
It's because I went slow.
I've been writing everyday since 2008.
I've written 15 books so far.
I publish email newsletters and blogs every single week.
I went slow, that's why I can now go fast!
If you want to go fast, go slow.
Don't take shortcuts. Don't cut corners.
If you want to rise fast as a leader of your company or organization, go slow.
Leni Robredo set a good example on how it is to be a true servant leader.
What a beautiful gift it is to witness this kind of leadership.
I wish you love, joy, and peace today and everyday!
Cheers,
Sha
