Tucson Steampunk CON - 2016

Celebrating it's 5th year, the Wild Wild West Steampunk Convention was the best yet. There is great excitement and anticipation for WWWC 6 - 2017.  Held at Old Tucson Studios, famous for western movies and tv shows, the location is perfect for 19th Century frivolity "a la Steampunk". I look forward to sharing moments of  the 2016 season.

The "Steampunk Gunfighter" 

There are primary fashion styles popular in Steampunk. They are pseudo Victorian, pseudo Edwardian, Anime and Si-Fi. As I spoke with people at CON, I learned about pseudo-Western (also described as Old West-infusion). The Wild Wild West movie, Will Smith /1999, is an example. Steampunk is highly adaptable to nearly everything, whenever or whatever the era is.  

Did you know; portals into Steampunk worlds are often associated to "objects", "clothing" or "photos". Many a "Tea" has witnessed debates regarding the "properties and strange attributes" of  such things.  Most tinkers and inventors warn about " the highly addictive nature" of Steampunk artifacts.
