I'm going to be honest with you. I felt like my voice and ideas didn't matter in high school, but how wrong was I!
Now all I do is find creative (and pro) ways to weave fried chicken into my storytelling online. It may sound silly, but it works!
Finding your own voice is an important part of building a powerful online presence. Online branding isn't about being the best creator- it's about sharing your "value". The goal here is not just content--it's about being different! Let me share five stories from #TTV28 on how we can grab attention with our voices:
TTV28 Post 1: Become an influencer on LinkedIn
Cindy began her journey in design by following the passions she was born with. She took a chance on LinkedIn and found her first sponsored gig for HubSpot's #WorldCertWeek. By being a part of The Trusted Voice community, she used that time to hone and polish voice, positioning herself as trusted creative strategist. Plus, being visual in a text heavy landscape makes it easy for Cindy to stand out from the crowd.
TTV28 Post 2: Go viral by being an expert
A presenter's skillset is similar to that of a content creator. We want to be confident and tell better stories but what I love about this particular poll by Olivia, the Trusted Voice for video presentations, was how she went viral with over 30k views in just a few days!
TTV28 Post 3: First Job Stories - "I hated it"
Vunerability is part of personal storytelling. By sharing our stories, others are inspired to share theirs. A chain effect happens when we tell our stories. when I opened up about being a KFC chick, it inspired Jeff Hunter followed with a similar hook. He shared his story about going from a cleaner to an entrepeneur.

TTV28 Post 4: Launch your business and do what matters to you
Mark quit his job to launch his own consulting business. Pre-TTV28 he was an active commenter on LinkedIn, his content has been a mix of video and text-status-post allowing him to showcase his expertise and when he launched he was able to find business. Not only that, he also runs a fish and chip shop with his wife!!
TTV28 Post 5: Be different, share your superpowers
Louis used his creative storytelling skills to grab's a prospect attention. He leveraged a prospects's LinkedIn profile to create an original animation. Yes, he is using LinkedIn as a lead-gen tool and showing his superpowers. Again, it's all about being different.
