ATHLETICS: Grand Slam Track’s first-year finale was confirmed for UCLA’s Drake Stadium at the end of June, 2025. Meanwhile, the USATF chief executive said that he wants the 2028 Olympic Track & Field Trials to be held at the Olympic venue at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, despite the construction and date challenges of installing the track there. Olympic Games 2036: The Hungarian Supreme Court ruled that a referendum can be held on the question of whether Budapest can bid for the Olympic Games in 2036 or beyond.?

Badminton: China's Shi Feng Li and Akane Yamaguchi of Japan won the men’s and women’s Singles at the Kumamoto Masters Japan.?

Bobsled & Skeleton: Britain surprised with wins in both women’s Skeleton races to open the IBSF World Cup season in Korea.?

Figure Skating: Japan swept the Singles events at the ISU Grand Prix Finlandia Cup in Helsinki, with Yuma Kagiyama and Hana Yoshida. Canada's 2024 World Champions, Deanna Stellato-Dudek and Maxime Deschamps won Pairs, and Britain’s Lilah Fear and Lewis Gibson took the Ice Dance gold.?

Lacrosse: American Bob DeMarco was elected President of World Lacrosse in an online vote, days after chief executive Jim Scherr of the U.S. was extended as chief executive through 2028.

Rugby: Australian Brett Robinson was elected World Rugby Chair at an interim meeting of the World Rugby Council in a two-round vote, and will serve a four-year term,

Speed Skating: The U.S. won seven races at the ISU Four Continents Championships, including individual wins for superstar Jordan Stolz (3), Erin Jackson and Brittany Bowe, plus two men’s relay wins!

Volleyball: The International Volleyball Federation elected Secretary General Fabio Azevedo of Brazil as its new President by acclimation, as he was the only candidate. ?
