● Alpine Skiing: FIS has implemented a new system of safety airbags for skiers in the Downhill and Super-G events for the 2024-25 World Cup season.?
● Archery: World Archery signed with the Shanghai Media Group of China to provide a portable broadcast production facility, including an innovative visual arrow tracker!?
● Ice Hockey: NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman confirmed that the 2026 Olympic Winter Games is on the schedule and that the league’s international-event plans have it as a key promotional element going forward.?
● Speed Skating: At the US Speedskating Nationals, superstar Jordan Stolz won five races, including the Mass Start, while Worlds medal winner Kimi Goetz out-sprinted?Olympic 500 m women’s champ Erin Jackson?twice.
● Weightlifting: The world’s strongest man, Georgia’s Lasha Talakhadze, will be serving in the Georgia Parliament and may have to decide whether to come back to competition. He’s currently not training due to an injury and will miss December’s IWF Worlds in Bahrain.?
