● International Olympic Committee: IOC Presidential candidate Juan Antonio Samaranch (ESP) said that, if elected, he wants to push through a comprehensive policy on the women’s category prior to the 2026 Olympic Winter Games in Milan Cortina.?

● Athletics: The ATHLOS meet will be held again in 2025, again in New York, for women only, on 10 October.?
● Boxing: World Boxing announced that is has approved six new members and is up to 84 federations now.?
● Cycling: Two famous early-season stage races are on, with two-time Tour de France winner Jonas Vingegaard (DEN) leading Paris-Nice halfway through, and Italy’s Filippo Ganna leading Tirreno-Adriatico after three stages.?
● Freestyle Skiing: The FIS World Cup Moguls/Dual Moguls season finished Wednesday, with American Jaelin Kauf sweeping the seasonal title in all three categories. Canada’s Mikael Kingsbury, the all-time career World Cup wins leader, finished the season with 99!
● Rowing: World Rowing said it would allow Russian and Belarusian athletes in its world championships, but mostly only for Singles, Doubles and Double Sculls.?
● Snowboard: Australian snowboard star Belle Brockhoff was badly injured in a crash last Saturday, but had surgery in Greece and will be flown back to Australia for what will be months of recovery.?
● Volleyball: USA Volleyball will induct six star players in its Hall of Fame in May, including beach icon Kerri Walsh-Jennings.?
