TSL Australia Moves Timber Tunnel Arches for Melbourne Tunnel Project

TSL Australia Moves Timber Tunnel Arches for Melbourne Tunnel Project

TSL Australia demonstrated its expertise in handling complex breakbulk cargo with the successful transportation of oversized timber arches for Melbourne's tunnel project. The shipment, originating from Auckland, New Zealand and destined for Melbourne, was arranged as a part-charter with the specialized breakbulk carrier, Spliethoff.

The cargo included timber arches, most of which exceeded 20 meters in length, with some reaching up to 29 meters long and more than 6 meters wide. Given the considerable dimensions of the shipment, the delivery to the port was carefully coordinated over a span of three days to ensure seamless handling. On September 10th, the cargo was efficiently loaded onto the vessel.

TSL Australia's in-depth experience in managing large-scale, oversized, and out-of-gauge cargo was instrumental in the success of this project. With specialized knowledge in breakbulk logistics, TSL ensured that every aspect of the transport process, from planning to execution, adhered to the highest standards of precision and safety.
