Trying to get sense out of Amazon

I promised to make the below email public if I didn't get a response and guess what, the email bounced. There seem to be no humans anywhere in this system. Can anyone tell me how to talk to human about this? The webpages do not have phone numbers.
I will try to tone down my language. I have responded to every piece of communication I have received about this book. Some have come back undelivered but the majority have not thus I assume they have been delivered. I have sent photographs of the book I received and compared it with the Vol II I have (see attachments). I am not some random Colonial that you can send any old junk to and expect me not to notice. I have rated my experience with the on-line process and given it a one (1) out of ten with additional negative comments. Did no one notice? I very much doubt that too.
You have not delivered the item I ordered. This is not a "technical issue". It is an error on your part. The book did "not arrive in the condition I was expecting". It was the wrong book. The book is useless to me because I was trying to find a Volume I to compliment my existing Volume II. I am happy to mail it back and for you to replace it with the book I ordered.
The format and language used in your email suggests to me that it was computer generated and not the product of intelligent life. I would very much appreciate the intervention of a human brain in this matter. The fact is that I have been delayed for weeks through meaningless emails and feedback systems designed to delay any action from the suppliers until some arbitrary timeline has passed and you can steal my money.
I want a personal reply to this email. Should I not get satisfaction, i.e. supplied with the book I ordered, I will post this email, the photographs above, and full documentation of my attempts to contact you regarding the error you have made, on my LinkedIn and Facebook pages.
Thanking you in anticipation for correcting your error and sending me the correct (as ordered) copy of Seven Pillars of Wisdom, Vol I.

6 年Thank you David Evans.? It took a while but I finally found a human in the USA who spoke to a human in the UK, who got their robot to talk to me again.? I wrote a review of the poor service they had provided but the robot told me the review didn't fit within the guidelines they use.? Apparently only positive reviews fit the guidelines.? So I wrote a piece about the legal aspects of selling objects and services that were "not fit for purpose" and suggested that my family members in the UK might pop around personally and discuss the matter with their solicitors.? Then a couple of weeks later my friend in the USA and his colleague in the UK wrote an email saying they were going to refund my costs in full but they were sorry they didn't have the book.? I will write and thank them when the money is safely back in my account. God help us if the robots ever take over the world.? I have had a taste of it and it is not pretty.

6 年I usually just ring their help center in USA. Never had your problem. They don’t respond to emails much. You can do live chat as well.
