Sleeping in on the weekends is great, right? You don’t have to be anywhere so there’s really no reason to get up, so you might end up catching up on all that sleep you missed out on earlier in the week. Well, it turns out that isn’t really a good thing and it may already be affecting your health in a really bad way.
Catching up on sleep sounds like a good idea, but it can really cause weight gain, lead to Type II diabetes, and leave your brain in a fog. For optimal health you should keep a regular sleep schedule. There’s a lot of things going on while you sleep, from turning experiences into memories to healing your body, and if you don’t go through all the cycles you need in order to achieve these things you will be left feeling sick.
