Try Different Meditation Styles

Meditating comes in many different styles and practices. As a result, you should start meditating simply by trying out different practices. Do research on what different meditations look like, and then try them out.

If you don't like a certain style, simply finish that meditation, and try a different one. It is completely okay if you do not like certain meditations. As humans, we have our own preferences and personalities, which gives us the right to dislike certain practices.

As you try out different meditation styles, you'll begin to learn what you like doing and what is the most beneficial to your life. Once you start figuring these things out, start tailoring your meditation to those styles, and push yourself to get better.

Improvise

Many new meditators try to stick to meditation styles in a very rigid manner. This discourages them from trying new things or growing. Instead of viewing meditations as rules to follow, try to improvise some. It will make the experience more enjoyable and beneficial.

Be Patient

Always be patient with yourself as you learn to meditate. You will find that meditation can be extremely challenging, but it can also be really rewarding. Be kind to yourself if you make mistakes or are challenged by certain practices. Being kind to yourself will give you room to grow and learn from the meditation experiences.
